Australia Vs Japan:
This match was going to determine the placing in Group F as Brazil is surely going to top the group.As many of you would know,Australia will be qualifying through Asia's 3 and half a spot for the World Cup next time.
Japan started well with a goal from Celtic Midfielder,Shunsuke Nakamura,although it was clearly a foul as Australia's keeper Schwarzer was clearly obstructed.
Hopes of Australia qualifying the group through the 2nd spot was getting lesser and lesser until their hero,Tim Cahill equalised on the 84th min.
Australia immediately erupted and Tim Cahill score again on the 89th min to give the Socceroos the lead.Aloisi then scored in the dieing moments to secure the Aussies lead to win the game.
Czech Republic Vs Usa:
The americans started the game as the underdogs while the Czech Republic is one of the dark horses aiming to win this year's World Cup.This is literally their last chance for the World Cup in many years as this is Czech Republic's golden year with players like Nedved retiring soon after this World Cup.
Borussia Dortmund's star striker Jan Koller started by a goal in the 6th min.The Czech Republic easily controled the midfield with quality players like Tomas Rosicky,Poborsky and Pavel Nedved.
Rosicky then added to the the Czech's lead with a superb goal in the 36th min.The Americans tried to fight back but nothing worked.Their captain Claudio Reyna then got booked in the 60th min.
The Man-Of-The-Match,Rosicky then scored another wonderful goal in the 76th min to finish the Americans.
Italy Vs Ghana:
The Italians was affected by some scandal in the Serie A and Ghana did not qualify convincingly for this World Cup.Despite being a team with many fantastic finishers and midfielders,the final score was predicted by many and even the newspapers for the Italians to win by a small margin.
Italy started Mr.Late-bloomer,Luca Toni,whom scored 30 goals this season in the Serie A to break some long record.He had many shots on target and one of his shots hit the crossbar of the Ghana keeper who also had a fantastic game tonight.
Richard Kingston the Ghanian keeper had 10 saves on the night being the keeper with the most saves so far in this tournament.
Ac Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo scored from outside the penalty box after receiving a pass from a corner in the 40th min.
Italy continued the game with many chances but was always stopped single-handedly by Richard Kingston who was my MOTM.However in the 83th min,Samuel Kuffour the As Roma Centre Back made a terrible mistake by passing a gentle ball to his keeper which led to Iaquinta,the Udinese star routed the keeper to finish the game 2-0 for the Italians.
