Ok. Time to get serious people.
We went back to ANDSS to get our combinations' results. We had to bring our parent along. Obviously not any good news huh?
Ok lemme explain to all the curious out there. In Anderson. 2 classes take triple science. 2-3 taking double science. And 1 last class consisting of combined science.
Ok i think they mentioned this before. The school actually offers combined science!
Instead of taking 8 subjects like normal, the people in the class take 7.
Physics and Chemistry is actually merged into 1 subject. So we have more time for extra subject.
The pros:
Statistics has shown that in Anderson, those that take less subjects, do well in their O'Lvls. As in, less people dont enter a jc from the combined science class then the other classes.
No pressure for the people here. School will give more help to the people in this class. Therefore helping them to raise their L1R5. Ok to put it bluntly, the people who went there had sickening results. An average of 30 plus points for the L1R5. Duh i was pulled down. I dont think i did that badly eh.
Another thing, those called up there werent stupid. Its just that their science and maths scores added together are alot lower than expectated.
Therefore they offer this 7 sujbect course consisting of English, Chinese, A and E maths, Science (Physics merged with Chemistry), Geography, History or Literature Elec.
So its not its no different avtually. Just that science is merged. Thats all.
The atmosphere at the AVT was dead, and dull. People looking solemn and stuff. Well they're ought to be! The people there did badly for their examinations and now its already too late to regret it.
No offense but, taking 7 subjects is humiliating. We have no other choices according to Mrs Poh. Only IF, we appeal. Im gonna do it. But actually, if we entered a noob school, no offense again, we'd be in triple science easily eh?
But life's all about 'ifs' and 'buts' isnt it? So we have to face the problem now, and deal with it. So i've decided to appeal. I stand a high chance actually, cuz there is actually 60 people for the talk. (Some did not turn up)
And Mrs Poh said that there is gonna be around 44 people to be in this class. So 16 people have a chance to go up to their 8 subject classes. :) I know im gonna be one of this sixteen. I stand a chance. But at least, im gonna try and appeal. And even if i fail to get into a 8 subject class. I will not regret cuz, i can only blame myself i did badly. But at least i know, i tried (:
No worse comes to worse, i'll take 7 subjects.
I hereby SWEAR that if i get into my desired class, i'd put in loads of effort next year. I will prove you people wrong, the maths teacher wrong. Rofl i am a failure in maths? Wait till you see the real me people. You havent seen it yet.
