Yesterday was fantastic, after i rushed out of the house to meet Cheryl, Lynette, GF and his brother for the 4 nations netball cup at Toa Payoh sports hall! Singapore, Canada, Scotland and Papua New Guinea participated. The matches started at 2 but we, the guys reached only around 2.15pm. We wandered around Toa Payoh before GF's brother's smart tactic to follow 2 fbt shorts girls paid off. We trailed them before losing them somehow -.-
It was awkward initially as the stadium was almost packed with girls. But we started to understand netball after watching for a little while and so, netball is captain's ball which is so frigging hard to score unless you're a netballer or you're a tall freak.
*Players cannot go past certain boundaries and so you can only defend or attack.
*Netball is actually a very contact and physical sport with all the PPG players playing dirty.
*Trying to block a shooter from the front is just wasting your energy, you should just camp and hope they miss.
*Singapore's WA is uber hawt.
*PPG's yo mama is earthquake-ish.
Anyway we watched the game and cheered for both Canada and Scotland in the 3rd and 4th placing match. Scotland players were more friendly and they smiled more. Scotland won in the end, thrashing Canada by around 15 points.
Then we went to ram the sausages outside during the breaks. There was also an event where you can go into the court and try to shoot. Score and you get a freebie.
GF and i were shouting 'diver!' whenever some player went down =\
Finally SG and PPG's match for 1st and 2nd placing started. I finally saw yo mama! the person whom i came to meet. 190cm and 190kg =O (exaggeration) The game was tense and the score line was close, with PPG leading by 1 point in the first quarter.
The whole stadium came behind Singapore with the occasional cheers for 'defence' or 'go Singapore go'. The players were boosted all of a sudden and went to lead the game by 5 points, and managed to keep PPG's points way behind theirs.
-break and we continued to ram sausages.
PPG managed to close the scoreline down and even led by 1 point! But after a close and long battle which lasted 1 hour, Singapore were crowned champions and music were played. Then this Canada player start to act as if she was inside the high school musical and sang breaking free with all the weird movements -.-
We left the stadium after that and ate at BK before Cheryl, Lynette and i 159-ed back to AMK central.
Lynette was singing the whole journey through after Cheryl decided to share her earpiece with Lynette which was a wrong decision as she sang so loudly that everyone was practically staring at us. Then we started lame jokes and the 159 was an 'old people ghost bus' because throughout the whole journey, we were the only young people inside the bus.
Then Cheryl shared with us some sweets that tasted like sweets. Lyn and i got off at AMK central leaving Cheryl to wander in the old people bus all the way till SengKang.
I crossed the road deciding how to get to the soccer court which my friends booked from 7-10pm and i was already very late. Luckily i met some guy there who i knew and we cabbed there together.
Sean, Ryan, Brandon and i went to the hawker centre to eat deserts later on and only to reached home at 11.10pm. Then SC started conferencing, i mean it was already started before that.
I sent Siang Yee her farewell message at 00.00am sharp later on.
Liverpool defeated Wigan 4-0 with goals from Gerrard, Carragher, Garcia and Gonzalez. Sorry im not gonna do the match review as i wasn't quite awake through the course of the match and sometimes i even wonder why i do it.
